Thriller at a depth of 13 km: the trailer for the film

A dubbed trailer for the film “Underwater” has been released on YouTube. In it, Kristen Stewart and a team of researchers try to find shelter after their underwater laboratory is damaged by an earthquake. As it turned out, the same earthquake awakened the monster. Further events are reminiscent of “Alien”, but not in space, but at a depth below the Mariana Trench.

In addition to Stewart, the film stars Vincent Cassel, TJ Miller, Jessica Henwick, John Gallagher Jr. and Mamoudou Ati. William Eubank, who helmed the 2014 sci-fi thriller The Signal, is in the director's chair.

Underwater wrapped filming in 2017, and the fact that it took so long to release isn't best sign. Another alarm bell is the release in January. This month is usually considered the low season. But we hope for the best: after all, it’s nice to see new projects, and not reboots, sequels and superheroes.

The Russian premiere is scheduled for January 9, 2020.
