The alien promised to return in 3 years, but almost 12 years have passed.
Director Neill Blomkamp announced that he has begun work on the script for the sequel to the sci-fi science fiction film “District No. 9” (2009), which will be called “District No. 10”. He will write it together with Terry Tatchell, who worked on the original film, and Sharlto Copley, who played the main role.

One of the best cinematic examples of CG used properly to maximum effect. Besides its awesomeness, the movie is a good representation of how people treat each other

One of the finest cinematic examples of CGI used correctly to maximum effect. Besides its coolness, the film does a good job of showing how people treat each other.

For real!?!? There’s very few films more deserving of a sequel than District 9.

Dreams do come true.
District 9 was nominated for an Oscar four times, including number as best picture (but then it lost to The Hurt Locker), and won the Bradbury Award from the Science Fiction Writers of America. The film tells about the first contact with an alien civilization, or more precisely, with refugees from another planet, for whom a separate area on Earth was allocated for a reservation in Johannesburg.
A have you watched this movie? Will you be waiting for the continuation?
