The Russian Book Chamber reported on the results of 2022 and summed up statistics on the most published authors in fiction . The list includes 20 names:

  2. Fyodor Dostoevsky (916.2 thousand);
  3. Agatha Christie (848 thousand);
  4. Erich Maria Remarque (718 thousand);
  5. George Orwell (693.5 thousand);
  6. Daria Dontsova (543.5 thousand);
  7. Jane Austen (509 thousand);
  8. Mikhail Bulgakov (505.2 thousand);
  9. Nora Sakavich (500 thousand);
  10. Louise May Alcott (468.5 thousand);
  11. Lev Nikolaevich Tolstoy (448.3 thousand);
  12. Tatyana Vitalievna Ustinova (443 thousand);
  13. Jack London (426.8 thousand);
  14. Ray Bradbury (409 thousand);
  15. Katerina Silvanova (387 thousand);
  16. Oscar Wilde ( 375.7 thousand);
  17. Alexander Sergeevich Pushkin (358.6 thousand);

Among the authors of children's books, the most published were Korney Ivanovich Chukovsky (898.7 thousand copies), Holly Webb (753 thousand) and JK Rowling (752 thousand). Next come: Uleva, Pushkin, Uspensky, Volkov, Nosov, Lindgren and others.

In total, 108 thousand books and brochures were published in Russia in 2022, which is 0.3% less than a year earlier. Total circulation increased by 0.8% to 392.4 million copies, of which books accounted for 310.3 million.
