The first gadget of its kind that imitates a classic blood pressure monitor.
Hong Kong startup YHE introduced a smart watch with a blood pressure measurement function. According to the developers, BP Doctor MED provides medical accuracy of readings – the error is only ±5 mmHg.

Measuring blood pressure using a smartwatch is easy. Simply place your hand at heart level and press the “Start” button on the display. Using a special cuff, sensors inside will determine the levels of systolic and diastolic pressure – the indicators will be immediately displayed on the screen.

An intelligent algorithm based on peak ripple is used to calculate the values. An additional algorithm automatically calibrates the sensors to get an accurate result.
The smartwatch also monitors your heart rate around the clock and alerts you to heart rate abnormalities. This will help prevent overload during training and promptly consult a doctor.

The dials on smart watches can be customized. Widgets on the screen will help you track the necessary indicators.
The proprietary BP Doctor App works in tandem with BP Doctor MED. In it you can see activity indicators and medical data of the whole family, if they also use the gadget.

BP Doctor MED also has the usual smartwatch functions. The gadget tracks physical activity and sleep phases, displays reminders and messages, notifies you of incoming calls and sets alarms.
BP Doctor MED supports English, Japanese, Spanish, Simplified Chinese and Traditional Chinese. Updates promise to expand this list.
Charging the smartwatch takes about 90 minutes. The energy will last for up to 7 days, depending on the activity of use.
You can order the watch on the crowdfunding platform Indiegogo. With a discount, the gadget will cost $199 (≈15,000 rubles), later the price tag is promised to be raised to $359 (≈27,000 rubles).
